Why Choose Brynje?
The ultimate thermodynamic base layer. Trusted from the rolling hills of the Norwegian countryside to the first successful summit of Mount Everest.
The Mesh Paradigm Shift
Why standard solid-knit garments simply cannot compete with open-cell mesh engineering.
Vapor Transport vs. Liquid Wicking
Traditional solid knit garments made of Merino wool or synthetics merely "wick" liquid sweat after it forms against your skin. Brynje Mesh changes the physics entirely.
Because of its highly porous, open design, body moisture immediately moves directly as vapor to the next clothing layer before it can ever condense into a freezing liquid. By varying the geometric size of the mesh, our garments produce wildly different degrees of warmth and vapor transmission without adding a single gram of physical weight. No solid knit garment is capable of this.

Merino Wool Blend
Wool can absorb up to 1/3 of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet against your skin, providing incredible natural temperature buffers and elite multi-day odor control.
The Brynje Difference: We use an advanced 80% Merino / 20% Polyester blend, weaving the synthetic elements directly inside the core of the wool fiber. This radically amplifies durability, wear longevity, and moisture transfer rates.
Polypropylene Mesh
When complete moisture elimination is non-negotiable. Polypropylene fibers possess the absolute highest insulation performance-to-weight ratio discovered in textile engineering.
The fiber is physically incapable of retaining liquid water. It repels moisture outward instantly and dries at unprecedented speeds, making sure you experience zero chilling effects against your skin.
Tested At The Ends of the Earth
"When Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first humans to stand on top of Mount Everest in 1953, it was with Brynje mesh protecting their skin. In 1994, our synthetic mesh made history again, reaching the South Pole with the Unarmed Expedition."
Brynje of Norway remains a dedicated family business with one clean goal: delivering the most functional cold-weather active gear on earth. From localized Scandinavian tracks to the planet's most brutally cold, inhospitable locales, our gear functions flawlessly.
