Wash Less. Protect More.

A global wardrobe survey confirmed that high-performance wool garments have a lifespan up to 50% longer than standard cotton. Because of the natural anti-microbial properties built into our fabrics, your garments can be worn multiple times between washings. Airing them out instead of washing saves water, extends garment life, and protects the environment.

Material Group 01

Merino Wool Blends

Our 80/20 Merino wool and polyester fiber matrix requires gentle handling to prevent fiber breakdown or shrinkage while keeping the wool's natural protective structure intact.

Arctic garment owners: Arctic garments should be washed and cared for according to these wool-care instructions.

Hand wash or machine wash on a dedicated gentle cycle with cool water. Water temperature must not exceed 85°F (30°C).
Line dry only. Smooth the garment out flat or hang it carefully. Do not tumble dry.
Do not use chemical bleaches or aggressive stain removers.
Do not use fabric softeners. Softeners coat the fibers and interfere with the mesh's natural vapor-transport system.
Do not dry clean under any circumstances.

Recommended Cleaner

Nikwax® Wool Wash™

A gentle specialty cleaner designed for wool garments. Use it in place of standard detergent to help preserve the natural feel and performance of the fibers.

Material Group 02

Polypropylene Mesh

These instructions apply to our SUPERthermo®, Antarctic, and Polar Fleece lines. These hydrophobic synthetic fibers dry rapidly but are highly sensitive to excessive heat. Arctic garments should be treated as wool.

Machine wash using a standard or synthetic cycle in cool to lukewarm water. The recommended maximum temperature is 100°F (40°C).
Hang or line dry. Because polypropylene absorbs virtually no moisture into its fibers, it will dry exceptionally fast on its own.
Keep away from extreme heat sources. Do not tumble dry, do not iron, and do not place directly on hot home radiators. Excessive heat can damage or fuse synthetic fibers.
Do not use fabric softeners or bleaching chemical agents.

Nikwax® BaseWash®

A specialty cleaner made for synthetic technical base layers. Use it in place of standard detergent to help maintain moisture management, freshness, and fast-drying performance.
